Attach and save files from your desktop in Outlook.


1. What is File Explorer

* File Explorer is only available with paid subscriptions.

  • File Explorer helps you find the files you need within Outlook and attach them to emails directly or save the attached files to a location you want easily.
  • You can easily save and manage the attached files to your computer, OneDrive or SharePoint by using Drag & Drop.

2. Attach files with File Explorer

  • Click on totle tab → File Explorer
  • When you click File Explorer, the File Explorer pane will be displayed on the right side.
  • If you click the folder, sub-items including files will be displayed in the panel below.
  • Select a file you want to attach and drag the file to your email.
    • Drag and Drop function is turned on. If you don't want to activate the feature, you can disable the feature at Settings → General Settings →  Drag & Drop.
  • You can easily attach your file by dragging a file to your email and also search for your files by typing a file name in the search box.

3. Save attachments to the location wherever you want

  • You can easily save your attachments using File Explorer.
  • Click on totle tab → File Explorer
  • When you click File Explorer, the File Explorer pane will be displayed on the right side.
  • Once the panel is activated, choose the attachment you want to save and then drag and drop the file to the location you want within the File Explorer panel.
