Compress and encrypt file attachments to your emails
1. Encrypt & Compress Email attachments
You can easily encrypt and compress your email attachments using totle.
If you're trying to attach files, containing personal information, you don't have to set a separate password for each file. Encrypt and compress your sensitive or confidential attachments easily.
2. How to encrypt & compress your email attachments in Outlook?
Click on New Mail to compose email.
Click on the Message tab and then click More Options to activate the right-hand pane.
Click on the Attachment tab in the pane.
Click on Add File or Add Folder to encrypt and compress your attachment.
Once your file or folder is successfully uploaded, then click Upload Encrypted Zip.
A compression Settings window will appear.
Type the attachment file name in the text box.
Enter your password and type the password again for password confirmation.
Once your file is compressed and encrypted successfully, the zip file will move to the box above.
If your file is moved to the upper box, set a file storage period by clicking the up and down arrows.
And then click the Set Position checkbox to locate your attachment in your email contents.
Compose your email as usual and click send.
3. How to open encrypted & compressed email attachments?
Recipients will receive an email like the image below and they can download encrypted zip by clicking the URL highlighted in blue.
Click the URL to download the file.
After finishing downloading, double-click the file to open it.
The recipient needs to enter the previously set password.
